BDMI has provided MEP consulting engineering services for The Methodist Hospital System for over twenty-five years. Projects range in scope and complexity from approximately $10,000 to over $1,000,000 in construction cost.
BDMI’s experience at the Texas Medical Center hospital complex (Main Building, Dunn Tower, Fondren Building, Brown Building, Alkek Tower and Neurosensory Center) includes master plan and facility infrastructure assessments, code compliance assessments, fire sprinkler system upgrade, fire alarm system upgrade, emergency power generators, cooling tower addition, central utility plant upgrades, domestic hot water system upgrade, operating room renovations, laboratory renovations, emergency department renovations, radiology suite renovations, air handling unit replacements, lighting system modifications, pharmacy renovations and administrative area renovations.
In addition, BDMI has extensive experience in the design of MEP systems for clinical care and doctor’s offices at TMH Scurlock Tower and TMH Smith Tower in the Texas Medical Center, Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, Methodist Willowbrook Hospital and San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in greater Houston metropolitan area. This experience includes over 1 million square feet (and counting) of medical office building adaptive re-use for doctor and TMH administration tenants.
