Projects - University of Houston Downtown Academic & Student Services Building

This project consisted of the addition of approximately 150,000 square feet and connected directly to One Main Plaza, significantly enlarging the downtown campus facility. The new addition contained one auditorium with seating for 500 people, two lecture halls with seating for 150 people, 4 electronic classrooms with seating for 30 people, 28 classrooms with seating for 45 people and 8 larger classrooms with seating for 60 people. The facility also contained space for student life activities, health and counseling services, a 28,000 square foot kitchen and dining area, and administrative offices.
The project also involved the addition of a parking garage and a significant expansion of the downtown campus central plant facility to accommodate the addition. The original One Main facility was included in numerous MEP renovation projects to update the facility to coincide with the new University addition.
